  1. Jonathan Toews and the Chicago

CHICAGO (AP)Blackhawks finally broke out of a frustrating tailspin http://www.officialhockeypanthersshop.com/authentic-adidas-james-reimer-jersey , and they did it convincingly against one of the NHL’s top teams.Toews had a goal and two assists and the Blackhawks ripped the Washington Capitals 7-1 on Saturday night to end an eight-game losing streak.Patrick Kane, Brandon Saad and Ryan Hartman each added a goal and an assist in a 44-shot attack that took advantage of Washington breakdowns and powered Chicago to its first win since Jan. 30 at Nashville. Nick Schmaltz, Artem Anisimov and rookie Alex DeBrincat also scored to help the Blackhawks snap a seven-game slide at home before season-high crowd of 22,066 at the United Center.Article continues below ...”A nice way to get over the hump,” Toews said. ”You might just win a 2-1 game or grind it out, but nice for us to fill the net the way we did tonight.”Breakdowns, bad bounces and an inability to hold leads doomed the Blackhawks during their slide, their longest since a nine-game skid in early 2012. But in this one, Washington made the mistakes, and Chicago capitalized to pull away with goals from seven different players.”We put our foot on the gas and got some insurance goals,” said Kane Youth Jamie McGinn Jersey , whose assist was his 500th. ”Nice to get a little bit of a breakout with a lot of different goal scorers and everyone chipping in. A big game for us against a good team.”Tom Wilson scored for the Capitals, whose first-place lead in the Metropolitan Division over Pittsburgh slipped to one point.Even more sour for Washington: The Capitals said a group of fans directed racial taunts toward forward Devante Smith-Pelly in the penalty box in the third period as he served a fighting major.A Capitals spokesman said the group of four yelled ”basketball, basketball, basketball” toward Smith-Pelly, who is black. The Blackhawks confirmed in a statement the fans were ”immediately removed.”Smith-Pelly was not available for comment, but coach Barry Trotz said the player was ”a little upset,” even though Trotz hadn’t yet talked to him in detail.”There’s absolutely no place in the game of hockey or our country for racism,” Trotz said. ”I think it’s disgusting.”Trotz coached his 1,500th NHL game. He joined four others in reaching that mark, including Chicago’s Joel Queneville.Chicago’s Anton Forsberg stopped 19 shots. Washington’s Braden Holtby allowed six goals on 33 shots through two periods. Philipp Grubauer took over in goal to start the third and gave up a goal on 11 shots.Trotz made the switch after he had seen enough.”We weren’t very good,” he said. ”We got beat in every aspect of the game tonight. It’s a tough game Womens Jared McCann Jersey , it’s a humbling game and we got humbled tonight.”Kane’s goal was his first in five games and just his second in 12.The Blackhawks took a 3-1 lead in the first period, outshooting Washington 21-6.Toews opened the scoring 6:19 in, connecting on a sharp-angle shot from the left boards that hit Holtby’s left pad and deflected in between his legs.Wilson tied it at 1 just under 4 minutes later when he was left open in front and connected on a nifty, waist-high deflection of Matt Niskanen’s shot from the point.Saad put Chicago back in front at 12:47, firing in a loose puck after Holtby had foiled Vinnie Hinostroza point-blank by poking the puck off Hinostroza’s stick. With 30 seconds left in the period and Holtby out of position, Washington defenseman Dmitry Orlov slipped behind his goalie and blocked Tommy Wingels‘ shot. But Schmaltz scored with 0.8 seconds left in the first from the right side of the net to make it 3-1 after taking Carl Dahlstrom’s cross-ice feed.Kane, Hartman and Anisomov scored 2:07 apart on consecutive shots late in the second to extend Chicago’s lead to 6-1.Kane buried a rebound of Toews’ shot with 3:38 left in the period to make it 4-1 after Toews picked off Brooks Orpik’s pass, and both he and Kane broke in alone.Hartman weaved down the slot – and past three Washington defenders – then scored on a backhander 1:10 later. Anisimov’s power-play goal from the left circle with 1:31 left in the second capped the outburst.Set up by Hartman, DeBrincat’s tap-in midway through the third made it 7-1.NOTES: Besides Trotz and Quenneville, others to coach 1,500 games in the NHL are Scotty Bowman Jonathan Huberdeau Jersey , Al Arbour and Ken Hitchcock. … DeBrincat’s 22nd goal gave him three in his last four games. … Dahlstrom, a recent call-up, assisted on Schmaltz’s goal for his first NHL point. … The Blackhawks’ longest overall losing streak in one season is 12 games, set at the end of the 1950-51. The skid extended to 13 games when Chicago lost its opener to start 1951-52. WASHINGTON (AP) Nicklas Backstrom did so well on faceoffs with an injured hand he even surprised himself.”It’s the playoffs,” Backstrom said after the Washington Capitals‘ 4-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night that evened the Eastern Conference final at two games apiece. ”You’ve just got to grind. It felt good on the first couple faceoffs, so I just kept taking them.”Returning from a four-game absence with a right hand injury, Backstrom won six of nine faceoffs and looked more like himself as the night wore on. With Game 5 looming Saturday night at Tampa Bay, Backstrom’s improvement is one of the keys to Washington bouncing back from consecutive home losses.”I should get back to normal,” Backstrom said after playing 18:51 night in his return. ”I feel really good. I don’t know (how normal) exactly. If I didn’t feel good, I wouldn’t play. The doctors wouldn’t let me play, either.”Team doctors cleared Backstrom to play around lunchtime Keith Yandle Jersey , and by pregame warmups he was drawing an ovation from fans thrilled to see him back in the lineup. The crowd roared when Backstrom won the faceoff on his first shift, and he got back into a rhythm centering the third line.”It was so fun to be back out there,” Backstrom said. ”It’s where everyone wants to be. You want to be on the ice. It’s just too bad we didn’t get the win.”A hard-luck loss included two penalties by fill-in No. 2 center Lars Eller, who has five in the past two games. Coach Barry Trotz didn’t mess with his top two lines, but Backstrom could easily be promoted to skate with Jakub Vrana and T.J. Oshie in Game 5.”We’re going to need him pushing forward, especially now that he has a game under him,” goaltender Braden Holtby said. ”He’ll take on more minutes and a bigger role. You could tell as the game went on he was getting more and more comfortable, so he’s going to be a much-needed asset for us in these next few games, for sure.”Backstrom appears ready to do that. The 30-year-old Swedish center hadn’t played since taking a slap shot from Pittsburgh’s Justin Schultz on May 5, but if it were up to him, he would have been back much sooner.”Nick has been champing at the bit for a while now Authentic Nick Bjugstad Jersey ,” said Trotz, lauding Backstrom’s game. ”We’ve been holding him back a little bit, but he’s ready to go.”Even on a team featuring Alex Ovechkin, the Capitals have gone how Backstrom has gone for the better part of a decade. He’s the second-longest-tenured player on the team, and this was his first career game in the conference finals.”As a hockey player, you want to play,” Backstrom said. ”It feels nice to be back.”—
  2. After a lackluster first two periods

NEW YORK (AP) — Tampa Bay Lightning Hoodies Authentic , the New York Rangers came out with more intensity in the third and got a needed win.Kevin Hayes scored on a short-handed breakaway with 40 seconds remaining and the Rangers rallied with three goals in the third period to beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 Tuesday night.“Hopefully this win can kind of springboard us into some Ws,” said Hayes, who extended his point streak to five games. “We’re trying to get better every day and I thought tonight was pretty flat the whole game from both teams, and then it was an exciting third.”Vladislav Namestnikov had a goal and two assists, and Filip Chytil added an empty-netter for New York. Alexandar Georgiev, called up on Sunday after a stint in the minors, stopped 14 shots to help the Rangers win for the second time in eight games (2-3-3).“We haven’t felt great about ourselves for a while,” New York coach David Quinn said. “Tonight was a feel-good moment for us. …. To be able to overcome the first two periods and play with the purpose and the pace that we did and a little bit of an edge to our game, it’s a testament to our guys.”Trailing 1-0 after two periods, the Rangers came out aggressive in the third period and outshot the Ducks 14-1 over the final 20 minutes. After falling short on several chances in the first half of the period, the Rangers broke through near the midpoint.Brett Howden brought the puck along the boards on the left side, skated toward the corner and sent a centering pass to Namestnikov, who cut between two Anaheim players and beat Johnson from the left side for his fourth at 9:52.With Chytil in the penalty box for interference on Johnson — a call Quinn disagreed with — Hayes skated up the left side in the final minute of regulation, cut in and fired a shot that the goalie got a piece of, but the puck got through and across the goal line for his ninth. It gave Hayes four goals and 10 points in the last five games.“I thought it was justice that we got a short-handed goal and I’ll leave it at that Tampa Bay Lightning Hats Authentic ,” Quinn said.Chytil then came out of the box and scored into an empty net with 19 seconds remaining to seal the win and help the Rangers avoid their fifth overtime game in the last six.Pontus Aberg scored on a deflection for the Ducks, who had won nine of their previous 10 games. Chad Johnson, claimed off waivers from St. Louis on Dec. 11, finished with 21 saves in his Anaheim debut.“We stopped playing in the third, and they came with a push,” Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. “We get kind of a break to get a power play and they score the goal. We set something up and didn’t execute it and next thing we know the puck’s in our net.”The Rangers finished 0 for 3 on the power play, and the Ducks were 0 for 5.Georgiev was sharp after his two-week stint with Hartford of the AHL to get more playing time.“I felt pretty good,” he said. “It’s a bit easier to play when you’re in that rhythm. I got five games there in the two weeks, so it was easier to come back and be sharp.”Neither team could muster many chances through the first two periods, with Anaheim holding a 14-10 edge on shots on goal.Anaheim got on the scoreboard with 5:51 left in the middle period as Aberg’s centering pass from behind goal line went off Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad’s skate and past Georgiev for his 11th of the season. The Ducks had a chance to double the lead as Getzlaf passed the puck off his skate to Ondrej Kase cutting to the net, but Georgiev made a nice glove save to his left with just under four minutes remaining in the middle period.Keifer Sherwood hit a goalpost for the Ducks 3:13 into the game, and Nieves did the same a little more than seven minutes in.NOTES: Johnson was 2-6-0 with 3.54 GAA in 10 games for the Blues this season. … Getzlaf had an assist on Aberg’s goal, giving him six assists and seven points in the last five games. … Anaheim snapped a six-game road winning streak, falling one short of matching the franchise record set Nov 28 to Dec. 13, 2006. … The Rangers won for the eighth time in the teams’ last 10 meetings Custom Tampa Bay Lightning Jerseys , including 3-2 in a shootout at Anaheim on Nov. 1. … Georgiev was making his first appearance for the Rangers since finishing with 36 saves in a 5-2 loss at Montreal on Dec. 1.UP NEXTDucks: At Boston on Thursday night in the fourth of a five-game eastern trip.Rangers: At Toronto on Saturday night. SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Connor McDavid won the fastest skater competition once again but Kendall Coyne Schofield won over the crowd. The U.S. women’s hockey star became the first woman ever to compete in the NHL All-Star skills competition on Friday night, racing around the rink in a time competitive with the top skaters in the men’s game in a barrier-breaking moment for women’s hockey.“The crowd was electrifying,” Coyne Schofield said. “To hear the USA chants, everyone erupted when I started. Definitely gave me some momentum and the adrenaline was pumping.”Coyne Schofield was the first skater to take the ice and finisher her lap in 14.346 seconds, impressing the NHL’s biggest stars with her speed.“When she took off, I was like, ‘Wow!'” McDavid said after winning his third fastest skater competition. “I thought she might have won the way she was moving. She was a really good skater and that was an amazing thing for the game to see her participate like that in an event like this.”The 26-year-old Coyne Schofield plays for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the National Women’s Hockey League and won an Olympic gold medal for the United States last February. She found out earlier Friday that she’d get the chance when Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon pulled out with an injury and then took full advantage of the opportunity. She had been previously invited to All-Star weekend with other women’s players from the U.S. and Canadian teams but now she had the chance to perform on the big stage.“My first impression was, I can do this,” she said.“My speed is definitely my strength. Obviously, I was a little nervous. I knew it was a moment that could break a lot of barriers and a moment that would change the perception of our game and show support to our game.”She finished seventh out of eight skaters, beating Arizona forward Clayton Keller’s time of 14.526 seconds.“She beat me so she’s doing something right,” Keller said. “She’s really fast. I was surprised. It was great to see that. It was a great experience for the NHL to have her do that event. It was really cool.”McDavid skated last and finished his lap in 13.378 seconds, edging Buffalo’s Jack Eichel (13.582) and the New York Islanders‘ Mathew Barzal (13.780).The other winners in the NHL All-Star skills competition Friday night were Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau in the puck control contest, the New York Rangers Henrik Lundqvist in the save streak competition www.officialmapleleafsproshop.com , Edmonton’s Leon Draisaitl in the premier passer contest, Washington’s John Carlson in the hardest shot, and Boston’s David Pastrnak for accurate shooting.Gaudreau narrowly beat out Chicago’s Patrick Kane in the puck control contest as the two were among the only contestants who made it through the course without a mishap. Lundqvist threw his arms up in celebration after stopping John Tavares for his ninth save in a row, topping Tampa Bay’s Andrei Vasilevskiy for the top spot.Draisaitl completed the passing contest in 1:09.088, beating out Carolina’s Sebastian Aho.Carlson beat out local fan favorite Brent Burns for the hardest shot, recording the fastest two times at 102.8 mph and 100.8 mph. Burns missed the net on his first attempt and had the next fastest time on his second try at 100.6 mph. Carlson’s teammate, Alex Ovechkin, won the competition last year.Pastrnak finished the drill in 11.309 seconds to edge out Pittsburgh’s Kris Letang, who had a time of 12.693 seconds. Toronto’s Auston Matthews drew big applause by donning the jersey of teammate Patrick Marleau, a longtime San Jose Shark, but finished last in the competition when he stopped briefly after hitting just four of the five targets.“He’s such a legend here for everything he’s done for the city,” Matthews said. “All the chants made me so nervous, I forgot there were five targets.”

I’ve been feeling good the last couple weeks so I’ve been eager to get into a game eventually. I was excited to get the start and get to play.”Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser scored 1:10 apart in the third period, and Markus Granlund and Jake Virtanen added empty net goals for the Canucks. Brayden Point scored for Tampa Bay, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 24 saves.Vancouver’s rally was started when Pettersson, who has four goals and three assists in four games, deflected Derrick Pouliot’s point shot past Vasilevskiy at 11:07 of the third period.“I thought it was going to hit my stomach and I was going to shoot a rebound,” Pettersson said. “After it hit me I lost the puck and next thing you know it’s a goal. Very lucky, but I’ll take it. Every goal is worth one goal so it doesn’t matter how ugly or nice it is.”Boeser gave the Canucks the lead with his first of the season at 12:17.Tampa Bay, the highest scoring team in the NHL last season, has two goals in two games to start the season and is 0-for-8 on the power play, including 0 for 5 on Thursday.“We need to finish Derek Ryan Jersey Womens ,” Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. “We’re not finishing. Then Andrew MacDonald fanned on a clearance.Patrice Bergeron pounced on the extra chances, tying it for the Boston Bruins with 3.8 seconds left and leaving the Philadelphia Flyers stunned. It took Jakub Voracek’s pep talk and Claude Giroux’s acrobatics to finally give Philadelphia a crucial win.Giroux scored his second goal with 1:21 left in overtime and the Flyers recovered for a 4-3 victory over Boston on Sunday to inch closer to returning to the playoffs after a year absence.”The play at the end of the game is a play that can’t happen. We all know that,” Flyers coach Dave Hakstol said of the stick-handling mishaps. ”Take that puck and just push it out to the neutral zone.”Dazed ahead of OT, Voracek implored his teammates to stay focused. Voracek then sprung Giroux on a breakaway. The captain faked out goaltender Anton Khudobin by acting like he was going to take the puck through his legs, only to snap a backhander for his career-best 29th goal.”I just thought I’d try that,” Giroux said, grinning.Travis Konecny added a dazzling goal and an assist, Nolan Patrick also scored and Petr Mrazek made 36 saves for the Flyers. I reacted,” Konecny said. ”When it happens, you’re just in the moment.”But it was Giroux, who has a career-high 95 points, that came up with the final and most important tricky stick work.”I’ve seen some great highlight-reel goals throughout the year,” Hakstol said, ”but I don’t think I’ve seen a better one than that.”NOTES: Bruins D Torey Krug said he was hit in the face by Patrick’s high stick just before Patrick’s goal made it 3-1. . The Kings visit the Penguins on Thursday, so he doesn’t even have to leave Pittsburgh to meet up with his new team.”I’m excited to be going to the Los Angeles Kings,” Phaneuf said. ”It’s going to be a real good experience for me to be able to join that team. … I’m excited about the team that they have, where they’re at in the standings and I’m going to go there and do my best to do whatever I can to help their team.”Phaneuf has 16 points in 52 games this season and 478 in 954 games during his 13-year NHL career with the Calgary Flames Custom Calgary Flames Jerseys , Toronto Maple Leafs and Senators. He was traded again almost exactly two years after the Senators got him from the Maple Leafs. The timing of the trade was a bit unusual, though the fact he was dealt came as no surprise. Gaborik is a buyout candidate after this season, a move that would be an additional help to Ottawa’s bottom line.”Marian has enjoyed a tremendous career to date and has played an integral role with our team over the years, including a Stanley Cup championship,” Blake said.Phaneuf signed this $49 million, seven-year contract when he was with Toronto on New Year’s Eve 2013. 5. DALLAS — Friday night one team will see its two-game losing streak end.Ottawa (9-10-3 http://www.officiallightningprostore.com/authentic-adidas-anton-stralman-jersey , 21 points) is 2-6-1 on the road after a 6-4 loss at Minnesota on Wednesday night. They followed up a 7-5 loss on Monday at home to the Florida Panthers falling behind early Wednesday in Minnesota.“Every loss, whether it’s this one or another one, you’re not happy about losing period,” Senators coach Guy Boucher said after his allowed six goals for the sixth time this season.Article continues below ...In Wednesday’s loss, Ottawa trailed 2-0 after one period and 4-1 at the second intermission. Despite mounting a nice comeback in the final 20 minutes, the same issues which have plagued the Senators all season continue to be a factor.“We had a major push and we tied the game, but what’s been hurting us is still hurting us,” Boucher said. “It’s the way we defend, just easy coverage in front of the net. We got to get better there. Our forwards have to tie up in front of the net when the puck’s behind the net and we got to get better at it.”Perhaps one positive is that the Senators have already defeated Dallas this season Womens Brayden Point Jersey , 4-1 in Ottawa back on October 15.Dallas (11-9-2, 24 points) is also on a two-game losing streak after losing 5-1 at Pittsburgh on Wednesday two days after a 2-1 loss to the New York Rangers and three days after scoring four times in the second period of a 6-2 win over the New York Islanders.Injuries were a big factor for the Stars as eight players were sidelined, including five defensemen and starting goaltender Ben Bishop, expected to miss at least a week with a lower body injury after getting hurt on Monday.Despite the injuries, first-year Dallas coach Jim Montgomery wasn’t making excuses after a disappointing result. “We feel bad and embarrassed about the way we played tonight,” Montgomery said postgame.Montgomery opened his postgame media scrum by falling on the sword for his team’s four-goal loss, saying it was on him because the Stars weren’t adequately prepared to face the Penguins. The Stars, who are 7-3-1 on home ice, have scored two goals or fewer in seven of their last 11 contests.Montgomery has a pretty good idea why the offense is currently stuck in dry dock Braydon Coburn Jersey , and again blamed much of those offensive woes on the aforementioned lack of preparation.“We’re not skating. We’re not together,” Montgomery said. “Our puck support is not good enough. Our timing and spacing, a lot of negatives. I’m not preparing them well enough, so we’re not in sync.”Dallas players and coaches took Thanksgiving off before hosting the Senators on Friday, and Montgomery feels a day to flush this game out of their system is a big positive.“Yeah, tonight’s over with,” Montgomery said Wednesday. ?We just start preparing for Ottawa now, enjoy Thanksgiving at home with family and get back to work on Friday. This is over with.”One positive to come from the loss was the NHL debut of goaltender Landon Bow, who relieved starter Anton Khudobin J.T. Miller Jersey , who allowed five goals on 16 shots, midway through the middle frame.Bow stopped all 14 shots he faced. But in the end, Stars captain Jamie Benn summed up the loss best.“Pretty embarrassing tonight,” Benn said. “We let our goalie down.”Dallas is 0-3-2 in the last five meetings with Ottawa. Hopefully for the Vegas Golden Knights, Christmas was a time to help them overcome their frustration of yet another overtime loss heading into their mini-holiday break.A 4-3 loss to the visiting Los Angeles Kings in overtime on Sunday was their second consecutive loss in the extra period in successive days (Montreal beat them in OT on Saturday in Las Vegas). It was the third time the Knights (20-15-4) had allowed an overtime goal in their last six outings. They had three days without practice since Sunday heading into Thursday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche (19-12-6) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Avalanche also enter the game looking for answers with consecutive losses and a 3-6-1 record in their last 10 games.Article continues below ...Frustrated Vegas goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury smashed his stick on the post and angrily skated off the T-Mobile Arena ice after surrendering an overtime goal to the Kings’ Tyler Toffoli on a breakaway Sunday.“I want to make a difference,” Fleury said. “I want to give our team a chance to win these games. I haven’t and it’s been pissing me off.“That last one, one-on-one with me, I should have made a save and gave us a chance to stay in the game. It’s two in a row now with both games being overtime losses. I’ve got to be better.”Defenseman Nate Schmidt’s decision to leave toward the bench for a substitute allowed Toffoli to take a long pass from Oscar Fantenberg just before crossing the blue line, triggering the decisive breakaway.Shea Theodore hopped over the boards in place of Schmidt and gave chase Womens Charlie McAvoy Jersey , but it proved futile.“It was a stupid change,” a dejected Schmidt said as he sat in front of his stall. “Stupid of me. It was dumb. I feel bad for (Fleury) and the guys.”Sunday’s loss also dropped the Knights to 3-3 in overtime games this season and 1-3 in the last four. Under Schottenheimer, the Browns won division titles in 1985, 1986 and 1987, and claimed a wild card spot in 1988. Even though he last coached a Browns game 31 years ago, Schottenheimer still ranks:fourth in franchise history with 44 winsthird in winning percentage at .620third in most playoff appearances with sixThose 44 wins may not sound like much, but Schottenheimer did that in just 71 games with the Browns. When you consider that the combination of Hue Jackson, Rob Chudzinski Authentic Kevin Zeitler Jersey , Pat Shurmur, Eric Mangini, Chris Palmer and Mike Pettine coached the Browns for a combined 184 games and only collected 41 wins, you realize the Browns had something special with Schottenheimer. After the Browns, Schottenheimer coached the Kansas City Chiefs for 10 seasons, making the playoffs seven times, and finishing with a winning percentage of .634 Authentic Genard Avery Jersey , which is second best in Chiefs’ franchise history. His .588 winning percentage in five seasons as head coach of the San Diego Chargers is third best in franchise history. The biggest mark against Schottenheimer is that he failed to a win a title. Browns fans do not need to be reminded about how things worked out for his four playoff teams in Cleveland. Overall, Schottenheimer’s teams only won five playoff games in 18 appearances.Even so, when you look at his overall body of work compared some of the other head coaches, it is becomes clear that Schottenheimer deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame. The second touchdown came on the first play of the fourth quarter and kept the outcome in some doubt, but an 11-play Chiefs drive and a field goal helped ensure that there would be no late magic from the Browns. 11. in a massive AFC South game. The division rivals will play twice over the final seven games and the results will have big playoff implications. The Titans top ranked defense against the Colts red hot offense will be the story coming in to this one and for good reason. Tennessee hasn’t allowed more than 21 points in regulation since Week 1. Indianapolis has scored at least 34 in four of their past six. Here’s how the two teams stack up according to Football Outsiders DVOA:TitansOffense: -8.0% (24th)Pass Offense: -0.4% (25th)Run Offense: -8.4% (18th)Defense: -4.2% (12th)Pass Defense: +5.3% (18th)Run Defense: -15.4% (8th)Special Teams: +2.6% (7th)ColtsOffense: +3.4% (14th)Pass Offense: +13.0% (15th)Run Offense: -2.5% (13th)Defense: +3.8% (22nd)Pass Defense: +18.5% (27th)Run Defense: -14.3% (9th)Special Teams: +1.3% (10th)Those are obviously full season numbers and I think you could safely argue that the Titans are quite a bit better heading in to Week 11 than they were early in the year www.titansauthorizedshops.com , but that could probably be argued for the Colts as well. It’s a good matchup between good teams. Here are some of the individual matchups that I’m most looking forward to watching on Sunday.Jayon Brown, Kevin Byard, and Kenny Vaccaro vs Eric Ebron, Jack Doyle, and Mo Alie-CoxThis is, in my opinion, the most important matchup for the Titans defense. Last week Andrew Luck targeted backs and tight ends on 16 of his 29 attempts. The Colts offense is your classic “death by a thousand paper cuts” attack. They use their efficient short passing game and an ascendant rushing attack to nickel and dime teams down the field, only occasionally mixing in a deep play action shot. Despite their strong overall offensive numbers, the Colts rank just 18th and 26th, respectively, in explosive play rate per Sharp Football. Instead, Indy grinds out long drives by being hyper efficient on 3rd down. They lead the league in successful 3rd down conversions per game as well as 3rd down conversion rate. The play of their tight ends are a big part of that. Free agent addition Eric Ebron leads the team in targets (65), catches (39), yards (463), and touchdowns (9). He’s become the force that the Lions envisioned when they selected him 10th overall in the 2014 draft.Jack Doyle remains the team’s second tight end and functions as both an excellent blocker in the running game and reliable pair of hands as a receiver. Doyle spent his first training camp in Tennessee and always seems to haunt the Titans in these division matchups. The other tight end that has been getting a lot of work recently for Indy is rookie Mo Alie-Cox. The 6’-5”, 267 pound, former basketball player is a big time athlete and red zone threat. How the Titans choose to defend these three will be interesting. Tennessee has allowed the fewest yards to tight ends in the NFL this season, giving up just 295 yards over 9 games with zero touchdowns allowed. Safeties Kevin Byard and Kenny Vaccaro and linebacker Jayon Brown are the primary defenders responsible for that dominance against a position group that had been a real problem for the Titans defense in recent seasons. The Colts group will be the second best crew of tight ends the Titans have faced in 2018 behind the Eagles duo of Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. How they respond to this challenge will go a long way towards determining their success in stopping Andrew Luck.Taylor Lewan vs Tyquan LewisThe Colts pass rush has struggled in 2018, ranking just 24th in the league in sack rate. However Tennessee Titans Womens T-Shirt , they did get a noticeable boost from the debut of second round rookie Tyquan Lewis who jumped out to me watching the Colts-Jaguars game from last weekend. Granted, he was playing against a tattered Jaguars offensive line, but he still looked like the most dangerous Colts pass rusher. Lewis will face a much tougher test this week as he will likely draw Titans two-time Pro Bowl tackle Taylor Lewan on most of his pass rushing snaps. Lewan has been a bit up and down this season as he dealt with a concussion early in the season and then a foot injury that held him out of most of the Bills game and severely hampered him against the Ravens. Since regaining full health, the Titans left tackle is back to shutting down opposing pass rushers and clearing lanes for running backs.Corey Davis vs Pierre Desir, Quincy Wilson, and Kenny MooreThe Colts don’t use their corners to shadow specific receivers — or at least they haven’t done so to this point — so I’d expect to see all these guys matched up with the Titans best receiver at different points throughout the game. While Desir has been a pleasant surprise for the Colts after bouncing around various practice squads during his first four years in the league, but no one in the Indy secondary figures to be the type that can bottle up a talent like Davis. Colts free safety Malik Hooker has been officially ruled out for the game which should further open the opportunities for the Titans passing game to attack downfield. It will be interesting to see how Indy treats Davis. The Pats gave him the respect of having Gilmore follow him, but that clearly wasn’t effective. Will the Colts play the Titans passing game honest or will they try to bracket and bend coverage to limit Tennessee’s emerging star?Jonnu Smith and Dion Lewis vs Mike Mitchell, Darius Leonard, and Anthony WalkerUnlike the Titans, the Colts defense really struggles against opposing tight ends and running backs. They’ve allowed the 6th most passing yards to tight ends and the 4th most to running backs so far this season. This is another spot where Hooker’s absence hurts the Colts defense. He is easily their best safety in coverage and playing without him will push Mike Mitchell and Clayton Geathers in to the starting lineup. Both of those players are far better run defenders than pass defenders.Jonnu Smith’s early season struggles as both a blocker and a receiver have been well-documented here, but he’s started to bounce back in recent weeks. This could be a good opportunity for him to finally have his breakout game.Dion Lewis is another Titan who could benefit from a matchup with the Colts. While Indy is surprisingly stingy against opposing rushers, they’ve really struggled to cover backs in the passing game. Lewis is 14th among NFL running backs in receiving yards and has had at least 60 yards receiving in two of the last three games. Jurrell Casey vs Quenton NelsonWe’ve all heard the stats about how effective the Colts offensive line has been at protecting Andrew Luck. Luck has only been sacked 10 times all season and hasn’t gone down since Week 5. The Indianapolis offensive line has been a focus of GM Chris Ballard since he arrived. The additions of Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith in the draft, the development of Mark Glowinski from Seahawks castoff to a reliable starter, and improved health for Ryan Kelly and Anthony Castonzo have given the Colts an imposing front for the first time since the Manning Era. Testing the young, talented Colts line will be three time Pro Bowl defensive end Jurrell Casey who is playing at an extremely high level right now. Casey flips sides and truly pops up all over the line of scrimmage for Dean Pees’ defense, but we figure to see him matched up with Nelson quite a bit and that will be must see TV for those that love line play.Adoree’ Jackson vs T.Y. HiltonA week ago we saw Adoree’ Jackson tasked with tracking Josh Gordon for the majority of the game and the Titans young corner played one of the best games of his young career, allowing just 4 completions on 11 attempts on throws in to his coverage. Jackson is evolving in to an elite NFL corner before our eyes and it will be interesting to see if he’s asked to shadow Hilton this week. Hilton has been relatively quiet during the Colts three game winning streak. He’s caught just 8 of 16 targets for 136 yards over that timeframe and has largely been a complementary piece to the running game and tight ends. However, he’s still got the speed to threaten defenses over the top and the Titans will need to find a way to keep him from breaking out of his slump. Jackson might just be the solution to that problem for the Tennessee defense.Mike Vrabel vs Frank ReichBased on the early results Tennessee Titans Hats , it looks like this could be the first of many important matchups between Vrabel’s Titans and Reich’s Colts in the AFC South. Both coaches have demonstrated an aggressive mentality when it comes to late game decision making so if things are tight late, expect both coaches to go for the win. With the Tennessee Titans on a bye this week, it’s only natural to talk about....outside topics! So to pass the time, let’s get to know each other a little more and discuss video games.Hey, video games can be about football sometimes! But I’m getting ahead of myself, so here’s my question to you: What video game do you find yourself coming back to the most? It doesn’t have to be your favorite video game or a game you consider the best ever, just a game you find yourself returning to the most. For me, that game is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Sega Genesis. Now, like many millennials, I was introduced to the Sonic franchise via Sonic Mega Collection on the Nintendo Gamecube 15 years ago, and I’ve been hooked to the series ever since. And why wouldn’t I? The combination of breathtaking speed, graphics, tight controls and catchy music gave the series mass appeal. Since the 90s’ the Sonic franchise has taken lots of ups and downs, but the recently released Sonic Mania finally restored the honor of a treasured franchise.Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is not my favorite game of all time or my favorite in the series (Sonic 3 & Knuckles can’t be beat), but it happens to be the game I return to the most. I’d include it in my top ten to be frank. As a stand alone game, it hasn’t gotten better than Sonic 2. The predecessor was great, but there was a little too much focus on slow platforming, which got tedious at a few points. Sonic 2 addressed that flaw head on by increasing the size of the levels and putting more emphasis on dashing through courses. While it may sound like it’s making the game shallow, it actually makes it a lot more fun to explore all the alternate routes and find hidden items throughout. From the tropical paradise of Emerald Hill Tennessee Titans Womens Hoodie , to the industrial wastelands of Chemical Plant and Oil Ocean, to the Vegas inspired Casino Night (my personal favorite), each level is fun to explore and occasionally I enjoy looking at the sights. And with an insanely fast frame rate, the game remains as gorgeous to look at in person. While the ability of Tails would be better streamlined in Sonic 3, it’s still fascinating to use him in this game. The special stages—where you collect chaos emeralds—are challenging as hell, yet there’s so many opportunities throughout the game for you to try them out and get the good ending. I also love how getting a score of at least 10,000 points allows you to get a continue.Bottom line, Sonic 2’s difficulty is just right, allowing you to make loads of progress quickly while having a lot of fun. The controls, graphics, music, and core gameplay are perfect. This is the game I’ve played a billion times and look forward to playing a billion times more. If you haven’t played this yet, there’s no excuse. It’s on iPhone, Android, and pretty much every modern console in existence. Play this brilliant game. With that said, let’s hear your pick. What game do you return to the most?
  12. IT’S HERE!!!For years Stefen Wisniewski Jersey , the rafters of Lincoln Financial Field have donned many NFC and NFC East Champions banners over the years, but the collection hasn’t had a new addition since 2013, and was missing a gigantic reminder that the Philadelphia Eagles won a Super Bowl.Ahead of Thursday’s 2018 regular season opener, the team unveiled their new banner in all of its glory — and in front of one of the teams they beat last season on their way to winning the Lombardi Trophy.(And then the heavens opened and the angels sang.)As much as everyone talks about moving on and putting the Super Bowl win in the past http://www.eaglescheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-jake-elliott-jersey , that’s never really going to happen. We can focus on 2018 and start with an 0-0 mindset, but the celebrations will continue — even if its just a small fist pump when walking past the “Philly Philly” statue on the HeadHouse Plaza at The Linc. The 2017 Eagles team was something special, but they return most of their starters, and the 2018 squad has it’s own energy to be excited about. LET’S GO!!!!! Football is a game of attrition. The best teams usually have relatively healthy rosters Cheap Sidney Jones Jersey , which is one of the things that made the 2017 Eagles so special. That team was able to overcome a injuries to key players and win the Super Bowl. The 2018 Eagles also dealt with injuries, but theirs were both high quality and high quantity, and while they didn’t win the Super Bowl, they did pretty damn good for a defending champion. As we go through the Eagles post-mortem and look at the injuries that kept starters or major role players out for significant stretches http://www.eaglescheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-chris-long-jersey , it’s impressive that the Eagles were so close to playing this weekend.16 Games (and playoffs)Mack HollinsPaul Worrilow14 GamesMike Wallace (and playoffs)13 GamesRodney McLeod (and playoffs)Timmy Jernigan12 GamesJay Ajayi (and playoffs)10 GamesDarren SprolesDerek Barnett (and playoffs)8 GamesJalen Mills (and playoffs)7 GamesRonald Darby (and playoffs)Sidney Jones (and playoffs)5 GamesCarson Wentz (and playoffs)Corey Clement (and playoffs)At no point this season did the Eagles field a full strength team. Thirteen players who were or were expected to be starters or key contributors missed at least a third of the season (and that’s not counting Chris Maragos, who’s timetable was always up in the air until it was determined he needed a second surgery). Eleven of them missed the playoffs. Only seven players on offense played in every game, on defense only six. Continuity is just about the last word you’d use to describe the 2018 Eagles. And yet only four teams had a better season. That’s a huge testament to the rest of the talent on the roster, the front office Cheap Jay Ajayi Jersey , and the coaching staff.
  13. Doug Pederson expects

Isaac Seumalo to start against the Giants (and other press conference takeaways) The Eagles head coach had a lot to say on Monday following the team’s afternoon loss to the Vikings. Players have started chiming in on their concerns and Doug Pederson is now having to answer for those Womens Mike Wallace Jersey , including why Isaac Seumalo got the start and how they plan to avoid self-inflicted wounds.Pederson spoke to the media about whether there’s discord in the locker room, and whether the group is still getting over their Super Bowl hangover. Here’s what the head coach had to say:On Ajayi’s quote about runningPederson’s first question of the day was regarding the comments made by running back Jay Ajayi following Sunday’s loss. Ajayi had said that they team has success when running the ball, and needed to do that more often — not just in opening drives, but throughout the contest. The head coach agreed, but pointed out that when they are having success with the run game, they try and stick to it. He noted that they had seven carries in one drive in the second half and it ended up in a turnover near the endzone — a turnover by Ajayi, so I’m considering this a bit of shade from Pederson. He continued to talk about how it’s challenging to commit to the run when they were playing from behind for so much of the game.“I’d love to run the football, and I think our guys are good at it,” Pederson noted. “But at the same time we can’t get behind in football games because sometimes the running won’t allow you to get back fast enough.”Pederson was then asked if the Eagles needed to establish the run earlier, in order to create more options later on, pointing out that the first four plays were passes on Sunday. The head coach was quick to note that the first play was an RPO, so there was a 50/50 chance that it ended up on the ground. He also talked about only having six offensive plays in the first quarter, and it going back to what he was saying last week, about the offense needing to get started faster and stay on the field longer. Pederson said that the team has had the most success when they are able to get on the board during the first drive and take the lead, opening up those rushing options throughout the rest of the contest. On offensive line changesThe head coach was asked why Isaac Seumalo started over Stephen Wisniewski, and Pederson said sometimes they evaluate players and if they need to make a change, they do. The team had faith in Seumalo getting the start, and Pederson also acknowledged that Seumalo had taken all the first team reps in practice in the week leading up to Sunday.Pederson was asked a follow-up about Wisniewski saying him being benched wasn’t performance related, although was unwilling to elaborate. The head coach smirked and said he wasn’t aware of whatever theory he may have about it, but that everything they do and every move they make is based around performance. He was then asked point blank if he felt pressure to play high draft picks, but the head coach was quick to shoot that down, “Not at all. I have no idea where that theory is coming from.”Looking for additional answers, a reporter pointed out that Seumalo hadn’t lined up in the guard position during the offseason, but was strictly being used at center. It was this line of thinking that made Pederson audibly chuckle, tilt his head, and continue:He went on to list most of the lineman and where they line up, and noted that Seumalo is a guy they feel comfortable with at all five spots. Pederson continued that Isaac is a year older Youth Derek Barnett Jersey , has been doing well in practice, and he’s earned an opportunity to play.Overall, Pederson would say that Seumalo played well on Sunday, and noted that it’s hard to make some personnel shifts on a short week and therefore expects the same starting lineup on Thursday against the Giants. It would be easy to put the issues on the offensive line, but there are things to point the finger out throughout the entire offense, Pederson acknowledged. He went on to say it’s not just one position, or one unit, and the issues have changed week-to-week, but there is definitely enough blame to go around for the issues they’ve had so far this season. On comparisons to 2016Pederson said that he can appreciate where some of the players are coming from in comparing the start to this season with the 7-9 season from 2016. He admitted that it certainly feels similar — particularly with regards to the mistakes they are making. He said those types of mistakes are something at least that everyone, from the coaches to players, is on the same page with and now committed to improving. Pederson noted he told the team yesterday post-game that championship teams cannot make these kinds of mistakes and expect to win.On coming off a Super Bowl seasonPederson was later asked if it was challenging to try and keep the same energy from a Super Bowl-winning season, in back-to-back years. He admitted that it is difficult. The head coach said those are things you have to guard against, as well as guard against what the new picture of success looks like and how that can distract players and coaches. He also talked about losing a month-plus that other teams had, pushing back some of the injury recovery times and offseason preparation. Pederson said that’s where they’re at now, is seeing that timeline others had to get back to the field. The head coach didn’t second guess letting some of the veteran players, and those coming back from an injury, take some additional rest during training camp. With a shortened offseason he thought — and still does — that they needed more time before getting back to 100%.Pederson did say his team is hungry and has really embraced the challenge of coming back to compete after a Super Bowl win. He pointed out that he can see it in the way that they practice and how they handle themselves during the week, but it’s just not carrying over into the games they way it needs to be.“The energy level is there. The effort is there,” Pederson noted. “We’re just self-inflicting ourselves with explosive plays on defense, penalties.”Speaking of penalties...Pederson was asked how the penalties seem to keep compounding. He agreed that part of the problem is guys trying too hard not to make a mistake that they end up putting a little extra pressure on themselves to perform, which he admitted isn’t the best way for them to play. Also, when asked about the flag on Michael Bennett for roughing the passer, all Pederson would say is, “the rules are the rules”.On discord among the teamSomeone pointed out that with Ajayi’s comments about the run game, Wiz’s comments about a theory for his benching, and the obvious exchange of words between Fletcher Cox and Jalen Mills on Sunday, some may be concerned that there is some discord among a group that has at times seemed incredibly close. On what he sees in the locker room Youth Carson Wentz Jersey , Pederson said he sees a group of guys working their tails off and competing to play, and guys who are upset with how things are going so far. He also noted, that he sees leaders on the team stepping up and leading — which is what they need right now.He said he could see how in another situation, these things would lead to even more issues, but having guys stand up and hold their teammates accountable is a good thing. Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...Fourth-Quarter Collapse Leads To More Questions - PE.comSomehow, a near-perfect three quarters unraveled in dramatic and disturbing fashion for the Eagles on Sunday, a 17-point lead gone in what seemed like an instant, and in the locker room after a crushing 21-17 loss at Lincoln Financial Field to the Carolina Panthers, the mood was disbelief. And disappointment. Resolve to bounce back, yes, but in the immediate aftermath of a 15-minute collapse, stunned dismay. “I don’t know what happened,” defensive tackle Fletcher Cox said. “They won the game. You’ve got to go back and watch it and see what happened, but we lost the game and it’s time to get back to the drawing board. This is the worst loss I’ve ever had. We were up 17-0 and they came back and kicked our (butt).”Eagles v. Panthers: 20 winners, losers, and I dunnos - BGNCarson’s the man. He had an absolutely spectacular day — the performance we’ve come to expect from our young quarterback, really. He has one of the fastest releases in the league, and the ball comes off his hand so hot, which lets him win those tight window throws up against the sideline or in the middle of the field. He was throwing folks open left and right today. Carson’s fantastic day was marred by his struggles to do too much — whether early in the game, with frantic throws under pressure, or later in the game, with ill-advised throws into the end zone. His career in close games (5 wins, 10 losses) and success rate on game-winning drives (3/12) both seem to illustrate that one of his bigger weaknesses is his play in decisive moments. But overall, what a stud. The Kist & Solak Show #30: Eagles Blow Big Lead to Panthers - BGN RadioMichael Kist and Benjamin Solak try to make sense of what happened in the Eagles stunning 21-17 loss after the Eagles started out on top 17-0. Winners, losers, more losers, and some blame to pass around in this Eagles-Panthers recap show!Handing out 10 awards from the Eagles-Panthers game - PhillyVoiceFor the second time this season Youth Dallas Goedert Jersey , the Eagles had a greater than 90 percent chance (per ESPN’s win probability graphs) of winning a football game, and they absolutely just gave it away. Against the Tennessee Titans earlier this season, the Eagles allowed three fourth down conversions on the Titans’ final drive in regulation, tying the game, before the Eagles eventually lost in overtime. Against the Panthers, the Eagles the Eagles again allowed a fourth and long (this time a 4th and 10) that extended a drive, eventually resulting in a go-ahead touchdown. The Blame Game - Iggles BlitzThe real answer is that everyone blew the game. You can’t pick and choose angles. You have to look at the game in totality. Think about the offense. They put up 342 yards. They had 7 pass plays of 20 or more yards. But they still only scored 17 points. In a season when other teams are lighting up the scoreboard, the Eagles have struggled to score all year long. The offense needed to score more than 17 points. The defense was handed a 17-point lead. They were well-rested after the offense’s 9-minute drive. They were at home. They were facing a mediocre passing attack that didn’t have explosive WRs. The defense couldn’t come up with one stop in the 4th quarter. Not one single stop. Ronald Darby had a chance for an INT, but it would have required a sensational catch. Fletcher Cox had a chance for a sack, but couldn’t get his hands firmly on a QB that is brutally tough to take down. The defense had a chance on 4th and 10, but Jalen Mills slipped and that’s all Carolina needed to get a big play. The day after: Inside the Eagles’ epic fourth-quarter collapse vs. the Panthers - The Athletic“I’ve lost like 200 f***ing times in this league so this is down the line somewhere. I have no idea. This is down the line somewhere. It sucks, it sucks.” —Chris Long. Fletcher Cox said that this was the worst loss of his career. Long was asked if he agreed, and that was his brilliant response. What about Ertz? “It’s definitely up there,” he said. “Unfortunately, I’ve been in some losses where we really didn’t have a chance. This one hurts because we freaking had it. So I’ll say in terms of like gut-wrenching, this is freaking top two for sure, top three. There’s no other way to put it.”Eagles’ late meltdown could come back to bite them - ESPNThe Philadelphia Eagles’ defense was pitching a shutout for three-plus quarters. In fact, it was the first time the Carolina Panthers had been blanked heading into the fourth under quarterback Cam Newton. But a late letdown led to a crushing 21-17 loss for the defending-champion Eagles, who fell to 3-4 and watched their playoff chances take a hit. “This one hurts because we freakin’ had it,” Eagles tight end Zach Ertz said. “In terms of gut-wrenching [losses], this if freakin’ top two, for sure, top three. That’s the only way to put it.”Refocused, NFL Week 7: Carolina Panthers 21, Philadelphia Eagles 17 - PFFThis was a tough day for the Eagles’ corners. Jalen Mills was giving such a massive cushion all game that Panthers’ receivers were able to catch balls underneath and make him miss after the catch to gain extra yards. Ronald Darby was a little better, but he was completely fooled by Devin Funchess‘ slant-and-go that resulted in a touchdown in the fourth quarter. When the Eagles got pressure, it wasn’t a big deal http://www.eaglesfootballauthentics.com/darren-sproles-jersey-authentic , but once they stopped getting pressure, the Panthers really took advantage.Week 7: On Benchings, Bad Calls and the Big Miss in Baltimore - FMIATranslating all of this: After Colin Kaepernick (and others) kneeled and demonstrated during the anthem, some players—the Players Coalition—chose to meet with league officials and partner with them in a league-funded attempt (almost $90 million over seven years) to fund work by players in the area of sentencing reform and other social-justice work. Reid thought the Players Coalition sold out Kaepernick, who is still out of football in large part because of his political activism, and he called the coalition “an NFL-funded subversion group.” For players using their days off to go on police ride-alongs to calm tensions in some cities, or traveling to lobby their state legislators, imagine how it would feel to get belittled like that. And after Sunday’s game, Reid said Jenkins “sold us out.” There’s not much common ground there, it would seem. Except this is what Jenkins said after the game, while he was being ripped to shreds by Reid in a locker room down the hall under Lincoln financial Field: “Eric Reid is someone I’m rooting for [and] I’m very proud of—putting his livelihood on the line to fight for those who don’t have voices.” On Sunday, Jenkins seemed the bigger man though Reid was on the winning team.Week 7 in the NFL: By Any Means Necessary - MMQBPhilly goes to London this week to face an equally desperate Jaguars team, in what feels a little like one of those old WWF loser-leaves-town matches. (Sorry, that Mahomes video has my mind back on ’80s pro wrestling). After the bye, the Eagles get the Cowboys and a trip to New Orleans. The upshot for Philly? The division isn’t exactly the SEC of pro football. Even with a sub-.500 mark, the Eagles are just a game off the pace being set by the Redskins.Hold My Beer: The Terrible Ways That Losing Teams Outdid Each Other in Week 7 - The RingerThis is just a classic collapse. The Eagles had a greater-than 97 percent chance to win this game in the third quarter, per NumberFire, indicating that just about everything had to go wrong for them to lose. And everything went wrong. Philly even was gifted the ball after an Eric Reid interception was overturned upon review—but it really doesn’t seem to me like the ball hit the ground. Michael Bennett fined for roughing Eli Manning - PFTEagles defensive lineman Michael Bennett was not fined for a roughing the passer penalty in the team’s Week Five loss to the Vikings, but he did hear from the league about a penalty in their Week Six win over the Giants. PFT has confirmed with the league that Bennett has been fined $20,054 after being penalized for roughing Giants quarterback Eli Manning. The penalty came in the second quarter with the Giants deep inside Eagles territory and gave them a fresh set of downs after failing to convert on third down.Jaguars quarterback position is ‘open’ says Doug Marrone - Big Cat CountryJacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone shockingly benched starting quarterback Blake Bortles after he fumbled the ball putting the Houston Texans right in touchdown range, his second lost fumble during a scramble on the day. Back up quarterback Cody Kessler came in the game and seemed to be able to move the offense, leading a touchdown drive but it was too little too late. “It’s open. Who’s the starter at right tackle? Who’s the starter at center? Who’s the starter at receiver? Who’s the starter? Everything is open,” Marrone said Sunday after the teams loss when asked who the starting quarterback would be when the Jaguars head to London.Jason Garrett is the spiritual heir to Jeff Fisher - SB NationThis season has been a refreshing one for long-suffering NFL fans fed up with the standardized levels of mediocrity that plagued the league for so long. You had your Jeff Fishers, your John Foxes, punting on fourth-and-short and settling for field goals no matter the situation. Not this year. Coaches like Sean McVay and Sean Payton have proven that coaching not to lose is not a winning strategy. And then there’s Jason Garrett in Dallas. All he did this week was throw away a hard-fought comeback and a chance for a win that would have given the Cowboys the lead in the NFC East. He could taste that tie, and no amount of clock time or timeouts in hand could keep him from it....Social Media Information:BGN Facebook Page: Click here to like our pageBGN Twitter: Follow @BleedingGreenBGN Manager: Brandon Lee Gowton: Follow @BrandonGowtonBGN Radio Twitter: Follow @BGN_Radio
  14. [UPDATE]: Here’s a look at the Eagles safety receiving his well-deserved recognition for the incredible work he does throughout the community. The Eagles have some really great people on their roster Womens Mike Wallace Jersey , including safety Malcolm Jenkins. From his commitment to social injustice and criminal justice reform, to delivering backpacks and new football cleats to local kids, Jenkins walks the walk and he’s now being honored with the Key to The City of Camden.Jenkins will receive the Key from Mayor Frank Moran and City Council members, as they celebrate his “community efforts to support youth and the underserved” through The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation. His foundation, alongside several other local community partners, hosted “Get Ready Fest” at the Antioch Baptist Church in Camden earlier this year, and it was huge success. The event provided 35-plus pounds of food and essential items — including health and wellness products — to hundreds (hundreds!!) of pre-identified families. Each family left the event with enough food to feed a family of four for a week, while also having some much-needed access to medical services, like blood pressure screenings, and testing for cholesterol issues, diabetes and access to basic dental and eye checks. Jenkins has an eagle-eye view of what people in the community need, and beyond the basic necessities of food and health care, “Get Ready Fest” already provided GED and job training to attendees, as well as access to senior, veteran and youth services. I’ll take the Patriots because Jared Goff has stunk in the playoffs (56.6% completion, 6.5 yards per attempt, 2 TD, 1 INT, 78.9 passer rating) and Sean McVay isn’t nearly as good as people make him out to be. His cowardice will play a big role in why the Pats why this game. FINAL SCORE: Patriots 33, Rams 23.BENJAMIN SOLAKI’m (probably) rooting for the Rams http://www.philadelphiaeaglesteamonlines.com/malcolm-jenkins-jersey , but I have no interest in betting against the Patriots in any Super Bowl that Doug Pederson isn’t coaching. We laud Sean McVay’s offense because its simple and elegant -- it does a lot of similar, predictable things really, really well, and then builds off of those with good counters. But Belichick is the best coach ever because he’s so good at taking away what you’re best at, and McVay doesn’t try to hide that at all -- so unless he comes with counters on top of wrinkles on top of curveballs, I expect Belichick to have him dialed up. Patriots by a lot.CODY BENJAMINBoy, it’s sure a different feel without the Eagles in the Super Bowl, isn’t it? The Rams should put up a fight, and they’re probably good for at least a handful of splash plays — maybe a deep Brandin Cooks ball, an Aaron Donald sack and a big Marcus Peters deflection. Otherwise, though, I have no concerns whatsoever riding with the Patriots. Yes, they can be beaten, but ... (insert your favorite Tom Brady and/or Bill Belichick big-game stat). This just feels like the icing on the cake that is New England’s dynasty, especially after everyone assumed Brady and Co. were crumbling in the wake of Super Bowl LII. I don’t take issue with a Patriots win, either. Everyone loves to trash them because of their past, but that criticism has gone a wee bit overboard. Plain and simple, this is just a great franchise with a historic coach and quarterback. They’ll get their sixth ring on Sunday.ALEXIS CHASSENI’m not picking the Rams, but I refuse to put in writing that I’m picking their opponent. Yes, I’m petty. No, I don’t care. As much as I want the Rams to win Youth Sidney Jones Jersey , I think Jared Goff relies too much on Sean McVay and his headset to run an effective offense against the Patriots. They’ve got all the weapons they need to pull off a win, but with McVay not actually allowed on the field to lead the huddle, I don’t see them getting the victory. Plus, I think the Patriots are still super bitter about losing to the Eagles last year, and are somehow still buying into the whole (completely asinine) underdog mentality.(The thought of Tom Brady getting another ring makes me physically ill.)TYLER JACKSONI believe it’s a close game just because historically that’s how each New England Super Bowl goes, but I believe the Patriots take this one in a similar fashion to how they beat the Eagles in SB 39. Take a double digit lead and hang on to win.Jared Goff has a glaring, paralyzing weakness and Belichick knows that. His strength as a coach has been to take away what you do best and beat him elsewhere. Naturally that would imply talking away the run game. It’s going to take Goff playing out of his mind and Aaron Donald having the best game of his season in what’s arguably been the greatest season ever for an interior lineman for the Rams to win. Some may point to the fact the Eagles came in as underdogs and beat New England last season, but the Eagles marched through the NFC as opposed to the Rams, who limped through it. Patriots 30, Rams 23.JAMES KEANEI hate this game. I hate this game, I hate this game, I hate this game. I so much wanted last year’s Eagles victory over the Patriots to be even bigger than what it was. I still appreciate it for what it is, but it was supposed to be the moment that destroyed the Evil Empire. Sadly, it wasn’t. Instead, here the Patriots are, in the Super Bowl yet again, looking for redemption. I feel I have to repeat that. Of all the silly, messed up things in this world, it’s the New England Patriots who are in the Super Bowl looking to redeem themselves. And because the timeline in which we live is cruel and unforgiving, they will. There is no chance in hell Brady and Belichick will lose again to a team with a second year head coach and a QB who has never been there before. They’ve seen that movie before, and McVay’s Rams don’t possess the magic necessary to conjure a victory. The Eagles did that last year and the Patriots won’t be victimized again. I hate this game.LEE SIFFORDAfter a lot of thought Youth Cameron Johnston Jersey , I truly think the Patriots will win. The Rams have been a great story this season, but history is against them. Tom Brady, who has been to more Super Bowls that ANY OTHER NFL TEAM, simply lives to play in games like this. After losing just a year ago, this game has New England written all over it. Also, as much as it hurts me, I will be rooting for the Pats on Sunday. Another win for Tom Brady is just another win for Tom Brady. A Super Bowl win for Jared Goff and Sean McVay is something that, quite frankly, I don’t think the world is ready for. DAVE MANGELSThis is tough. On one hand, you have the best coach and most accomplished QB. On the other, Sean McVay has now had two weeks to learn the names of everyone on the Patriots, and it’s possible that when the coaches meet in the pre-game warm up to exchange pleasantries that seeing McVay in the flesh, if not touching him in a handshake, will cause Bill Belichick to be distracted for several hours. This game will be close because the all of the Patriots Super Bowls are close, last year’s 8 point game was the largest point differential in any of their Belichick/Brady Super Bowls. And that’s why I’m taking the Patriots. Sean McVay doesn’t trust his QB and when it’s time to get aggressive, he’s a coward. We’ve seen time and again that if you are risk averse against the Patriots, you lose.MAKE YOUR SUPER BOWL PICK
